Cebu Pacific (CEB) today (June 17) transported another 1.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses from Beijing to Manila, via flight 5J 671.

Included in the shipment was the first batch of privately-procured vaccines to arrive in the country consisting of 500,000 Sinovac doses.
To date, CEB has flown over 6 million COVID-19 doses from China, on top of more than 1.4 million doses carried to 14 Philippine provinces.
Over the week, CEB airlifted more than 330,000 doses to Virac, Tuguegarao, Masbate, Puerto Princesa, Zamboanga, Legazpi, Bacolod, Cotabato, Butuan, Tagbilaran, Roxas and Cebu.
On June 15, CEB transported its first shipment of 54,400 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Cebu.
"We look forward to welcoming even more (vaccine shipments) in the coming months as we continue inoculating more Filipinos," says Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19.
The vaccines were preserved in temperature-specific refrigerated containers to maintain potency and efficacy up until arrival at the designated stations.
"We are happy to keep supporting our government while aiding the private sector in this effort to vaccinate the Filipino population," noted Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer at Cebu Pacific.
"We are committed to continue contributing in this national fight against COVID-19 through the safe and timely delivery of vaccines from abroad and across our domestic network," he added.
