Bacoor inaugurates PhilSys registration site

BACOOR, Cavite - The city government here launched the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration site at SM City Bacoor on Tuesday (June 15).

During the inauguration, Mayor Lani M. Revilla encouraged residents to register with PhilSys, saying the data will help the government map out plans and mount projects more efficiently.

"In a global scale, naikukumpara na ang halaga ng data sa halaga ng langis. Data is the new oil, sabi nga ng mga eksperto. (In a global scale, the value of data is now being compared to the value of oil. Data is the new oil, experts say)," Revilla said.

Starting Thursday (June 17), the site will accept PhilSys' step two applicants who have already completed the first step of registering through the online portal.
