Pinoy seafarer falls from foreign vessel elevator shaft in Samar
An emergency evacuation was conducted for a Filipino seafarer, who fell from a five-meter-high elevator shaft off the waters of Marabut, Western Samar on Tuesday, June 15.

Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) MCS-1101 responded to give assistance to an injured personnel Roland Campañero, a seafarer of the foreign bulk carrier MV Magnus Oldendorff,
The PCG, citing the report from his fellow crew members, said the 35-year-old seafarer fell from the elevator shaft with four to five meters high, causing his shoulders to swell.

The Coast Guard said Campañero was transported to the nearest port for further medical assistance.
