P122.4M worth of shabu seized in Las Piñas drug bust

Authorities seized 18 kilos of shabu worth P122.4 million from an alleged drug peddler in Las Piñas on Tuesday (June 15).

The suspect identified as Moses Joshua Esguerra was arrested in PNB Homes, BF Resort, Brgy. Talon Dos, Las Piñas at around 3 p.m. by joint operatives of the Southern Police District (SPD) and Las Piñas police.

SPD Director, Brig. Gen, Jimili Macaraeg said Esguerra listed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as a notorious seller of illegal drugs in Las Piñas City.

Aside from illegal drugs, ten bundles of boodle money used by operatives in purchasing shabu were also recovered from the suspect.

The police brought the confiscated shabu to the PDEA Laboratory Service for proper disposition.

The suspect will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
