LOOK: At least 70 PCG personnel participates World Blood Donor Day
At least 70 personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) have participated in the blood donation drive in celebration of the World Blood Donor Day on Monday, June 14.
In a Facebook post, the PCG said a total of 70 members have donated their blood in the blood donation drive conducted by the Philippine Blood Center in Quezon City on Monday.


The Philippine Blood Center lauded the PCG personnel for their cooperation and dedication in service amid coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
“The Philippine Blood Center is very grateful for the cooperation of the PCG staff, who, apart from serving amid the pandemic, also do not hesitate to share blood for the use of blood transfusion,” it said.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is encouraging more Filipinos to donate their blood to help save million of lives.

This year’s theme of the World Blood Donor Day is “Give blood and keep the world-beating” to raise global and national awareness on the need for blood.
