K-pop superstars and Grammy nominees BTS held an impressive online fan meeting, which drew more than one million fans around the world.

To celebrate their eighth anniversary since debuting in 2013, BTS held the two-day “BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo” live-streamed fan meeting on June 13 and 14.

The fan meeting was watched by a total of 1.33 million fans from 195 countries and regions across two days, according to Big Hit Music.

Priced at a basic 49,500 won for an HD single view per day, the two-day event is estimated to have earned at least 65.83 billion won, or about $58.9 million.

This is higher than BTS’ two-day “Map of the Soul ON:E” virtual concert, held on Oct. 10 and 11 last year, which drew 993,000 viewers from 191 countries and regions

BTS’ first online concert “Bang Bang Con: The Live,” held on June 14 last year, was watched by 756,600 fans from 107 countries and regions.

At the “2021 Muster Sowoozoo,” BTS performed 15 songs per day on an outdoor stage at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. The venue showcased planet installations and an entire stage in the shape of the number 8, signifying the idol group’s eighth anniversary and infinity sign.

Among the songs BTS performed include “Butter,” “Life Goes On,” “Dynamite,” “Stay” and “Fly To My Room”. Suga (Agust D) performed “Daechwita” while J-Hope sang “Chicken Noodle Soup” with all the members.

The online fan meeting offered multi-view options for viewers where they were able to choose from six different screens. It also brought interactive technologies such as ARMY in Echo and ARMY on Air.

A big screen below the stage featured ARMYs from around the world who were watching the event. Pre-recordings of cheers by ARMYs were also played during the “Dis-ease,” “FIRE,” and “So What” stages. The group wrapped up the show with “Wishing on a Star,” “You Never Walk Alone” and “Mikrokosmos.”

"We had so much fun today. I can’t wait for that day when we can all breathe the same air in the same space. We hope the situation gets better as soon as possible so we can meet each other. Until that day, I hope you all stay strong,” BTS told fans.

They added, “The light shines brighter in the dark. Please remember that you and we look for each other, shining light upon one another.”

During the event, BTS also announced that the single CD “Butter” will be released on July 9, the day when the name “ARMY” was created. The CD will include “Butter” and a new track. The pre-orders for the CD started on June 15.
Meanwhile, BTS ARMYs are celebrating the success of “Butter,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the third consecutive week.
