Fair weather seen over most parts of the country -- PAGASA

The whole country, except for Ilocos Region, may expect generally fair weather conditions in the next 24 hours, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday afternoon, June 15.

PAGASA said the southwest monsoon or "habagat" will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.

The public is advised to stay vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy monsoon rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Weather specialist Joey Figuracion said the rest of the country will have "generally fair weather conditions" apart from afternoon or evening rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also likely to occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, no gale warning has been raised in any part of the country on Tuesday afternoon

Moderate to rough sea conditions will likely prevail over the coasts of northern Luzon, while slight to moderate conditions may prevail over the seas across the rest of the country.

While no gale warning is in place, PAGASA still advised seafarers and fisherfolk using small boats to remain alert during severe thunderstorms as sea conditions may become rough.
