Janitors and cleaners get additional cash prize from Vice in 'Everybody, Sing!'

A Vice Ganda dressed as the late Princess Diana quickly became the People’s Princess after she gave away P50,000 as additional cash prize to the group of janitors and cleaners who joined the songbayanan in “Everybody, Sing!” on Saturday (June 12). 

Although they failed to get all the right answers in the jackpot round, they were still winners after the Phenomenal Box-Office Star announced that she’ll add P50,000 to their cash prize of P30,000. 

“‘Yung P30,000 na napanalunan, dadagdagan ko ng P50,000. Regalo ko na sa inyo ‘yan,” she said. 

Vice also thanked the songbayanan janitors for their sacrifice and hard work to keep surroundings clean and safe. “Happy ako na nakilala ko kayo, nasilayan, at naka-chikahan ko kayo ngayong araw na ito. Thank you very much!”  

She added, “Nakasalalay sa inyo ang kaligtasan at kalusugan namin lalong lalo na ngayon.” 

Meanwhile on Sunday (July 13), delivery riders took home P30,000 in the jackpot round after getting six out ten correct song titles. 

Among those who joined were riders that became the talk of the town on social media. Marvin Ignacio was involved in the viral ‘lugaw’ incident, while Jeffrey was photographed eating a cancelled order of a customer in the corner of a fast food’s drive-thru.  

Jeffrey shared that after his photo became viral, a lot of people gave him financial support, but he decided to share his blessings to others. 

“Pinamigay ko rin, Ma’am . Nagpamigay din po ako ng sampung sako ng bigas sa mga ka-lugar ko,” said Jeffrey. 

An original concept of ABS-CBN, “Everybody, Sing!” is a uniquely Filipino game show that aims to underscore the importance of bayanihan and teamwork in communities especially during this pandemic. 

In the weeks to come, grocery frontliners, fitness instructors, massage therapists, and security guards will sing their hearts out in “Everybody, Sing!” together with Vice Ganda and resident band Six Part Invention. Will they win the half a million jackpot prize? Find out in “Everybody, Sing!” every Saturday, 8 pm and every Sunday, 7:30 pm on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, at TFC.
