Star couple Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera get 'Sinovaxed' in Taguig

Celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera got vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Taguig on Independence Day.

“‘Sinovaxed!’ In our line of work, most often we need to shoot outside. When we start shooting a scene, mask-off. We need to remove our first line of defense against COVID-19),” Dantes posted on Instagram in Filipino.

The government has started vaccinating those belonging in the A4 category, or essential workers, and the two stars got inoculated at the Taguig City government’s vaccination site at a mall at McKinley Hill.

Dantes added, “This Independence Day, we would like to thank Ingat Angat and all our frontliners as the vaccination for A4 Priority Group has started including the media and entertainment industry, delivery service riders, self-employed and other workers who take a chance when going to work.”

“Even though I was nervous, through research and consultation with experts, I got more courage to get vaccinated. This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community,” the actor said. 

As of June 11, the Taguig City government has administered 160,364 first and second doses consisting of 17,598 for A1 (health workers), 44,500 for A2 (senior citizens), 78,373 for A3 (persons with comorbidities) and 19,893 for A4 (essential workers). 

Last June 1, celebrity couple Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez and their kids got their first dose of the vaccine in Muntinlupa.
