Students from the Far Eastern University (FEU) sought justice for the death of the school's former football player Kieth Absalon.

FEU Central Student Organization condemned the "unnecessary act of violence" that has resulted in the killing of one of the university's brightest athletes.
"We are one with the Absalon family in calling for justice and accountability against the perpetrators," the students said in a statement.
The organization also called for a rigorous criminal investigation of the incident.
"No individual should die due to such violent and horrific circumstances. It is high time for the government to address the roots of armed conflict, emphasize the importance of peace talks, and put an end to all forms of violence and killings, may it be committed by civilians or uniformed personnel," they added.
On June 6, former UAAP football juniors' most valuable player, and union leader Nolven were killed in a blast while biking along Barangay Anas in their hometown in Masbate City.
The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the New People's Army on June 8 took full responsibility for the killing of Kieth and his cousin, Nolven.
The Philippine National Police launched manhunt operations against the perpetrators behind the blast.
