Execration exacts sweet revenge against Indonesia's EVOS Legends, makes all-PH MSC grand finals a reality

Execration destroyed Indonesian champion EVOS Legends via a vengeful 3-1 victory to advance to the grand finals of the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2021 on Sunday, June 13.

The win assured that the MSC trophy will return to the Philippines as the lower bracket king Execration set up an MPL Philippines Season 7 finals rematch against Blacklist International.

The MPL-PH finalists will meet again in a best-of-seven championship showdown later on but this time, they will duke it out for regional supremacy and the $70,000 (more than P3 million) top prize.

Execration also got a sweet revenge for its 2-1 defeat to EVOS Legends in their upper bracket faceoff last Friday night.

Not even a lengthy technical delay prevented super rookie Duane "Kelra" Pillas from coming out with guns ablaze with his Lunox in Game 1.

Kelra fired nearly 100K damage to rack up 15 kills on top of eight assists against three deaths and fuel the Filipinos' 32-13 dismantling of the Indonesians in less than 15 minutes.

The 16-year-old gold laner on Pharsa joined forces with his "Double K" brother Kiel VJ "Kielvj" Hernandez on Yi Sun-Shin in powering Execration's 26-7 rout in 13 minutes.

Kelra put up a perfect record five kills and 11 assists even as Kielvj came through with 11 kills and eight assists against two deaths.

EVOS, the defending MPL Indonesia titlist and M! world champion, pulled one back behind Perdyansyah "Ferxiic" Kamaruddin's Bruno and Maxhill "Antimage" Leonardo's Paquito.

The Filipinos closed out the Indonesians in Game 4 led by star tank Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog's Grock who relentlessly disrupted the enemies' rotation and made plays all over the map.

Ch4knu finished with a 3-2-10 kill-death-assist but it was really his disruptive presence on EVOS's side of the map that proved pivotal in the 19-9 triumph in 14 minutes.
