Team Lakay's Jeremy Pacatiw signs with ONE Championship

Team Lakay continues to improve its roster in ONE Championship as Jeremy Pacatiw recently signed with the Singapore-based promotion.

Coach Mark Sangiao confirmed the development to the Manila Bulletin in a text message Saturday morning, June 12.

"Oo, nag-sign na sa ONE (Yes, he signed with ONE)," Sangiao briefly replied.

Pacatiw, who holds a 10-4 record, was a former fighter in BRAVE Combat Federation where he competes in the bantamweight division.

Sangiao and Pacatiw have been preparing for their next step since the expiration of the latter's contract last October.

That means Pacatiw, 24, will be following the footsteps of teammate Stephen Loman, also a former champion in BRAVE. Sangiao said Pacatiw will also compete in ONE's bantamweight division.

"Of course, masaya ako, kami and we are excited na sumabak na itong newly signed na athletes natin sa ONE Championship ring (Of course, I'm happy, we are all happy and excited for these newly signed athletes to compete in the ONE Championship ring)," added the Team Lakay patriarch. "Ngayon, talagang focus na kami kasi sa isang promotion na and tulong tulong kami lahat para umangat nang umangat ang ating mga athletes. We are one for all, all for one (Now, we are focused with one promotion only and we'll just help each other to reach the top. We are one for all, all for one)."

Pacati has won four of his last five fights, with the most recent against Felipe Efrain by way of first-round technical knockout in BRAVE CF 33 in December 2019.

He is the latest addition to Team Lakay's warriors in ONE. Jhanlo Sangiao, the son of coach Mark, last week also joined the Singapore-based promotion.
