OCTA: PH's seven-day average of COVID-19 cases goes down by three percent
The Philippines' average number of new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases has decreased by three percent, an independent research group reported on Saturday, June 12.

In a report released on Saturday, OCTA Research Team said the seven-day average went down to 6,430 on June 5 to 11.
The reproduction number (R0) or the average number of people, who contract the disease, was at 1.02.
Meanwhile, about 27 percent of new COVID-19 cases over the past week came from the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus or NCR, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, and Rizal, a decrease from the previous 94 percent from March 29 to April 4.
OCTA Research Team also noted a "significant increase" in the number of new cases in Negros Oriental, Leyte, and Agusan del Norte.
Average new COVID-19 cases rose to 80 percent in Dumaguete, with an average of 57 new virus cases daily
Tacloban's average new cases also climbed from 26 to 45.
The report also showed that Iloilo, Cagayan, Misamis Oriental, Negros Oriental, and Agusan del Norte had high healthcare utilization rates were greater than 70 percent.
