The shop, a dream come true to loyal PH Army (the local BTS fan base), is on the third level of the SM Megamall Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong.
Last year, the BTS Map of the Soul showcase opened in Seoul, Tokyo, and Singapore. The “experiential space” by HYBE IP, formerly Big Hit IP, first opened back in October 2019, the Map of the Soul edition launched in South Korea a year later. Now it has found its way to Philippine shores. The shop, a dream come true to loyal PH Army (the local BTS fan base), is on the third level of the SM Megamall Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong. It draws its concept from the boy group’s fourth studio album Map of the Soul: 7.
There are various Instagrammable points of interest, themed areas from the K-Pop bands’ songs “Dynamite,” “Black Swan,” and “On.” There are also Tiny Tan cutaways that unfortunately are not for sale.
The showcase is only until Aug. 29. In light of the ongoing pandemic, there is a strict admission policy. Visiting the outlet requires pre-registration online via the platform MorningKall.
Each Wednesday, 30 e-tickets are issued for the 13 limited time slots available per day. Those lucky enough to secure e-tickets are advised to stay at the queuing area 10-15 minutes ahead of their schedule. If you are the type to push your luck, remember that only five walk-ins are allowed inside the store per time slot, that is if there are slots from no-shows.
For each slot, visitors are allowed a total of 45 minutes inside—30 minutes for shopping and 15 minutes for check-out and crowd clearing. Because there are over 400 merchandise ranging from stickers to Tiny Tan accessories, from collectibles to apparel, here is a sneak peek of the store and some of the items you want shortlisted so you can make the most of your short shopping spree.
