WeTV chooses Globe as first Philippine telco partner to bring exclusive Asian content

Looking back in the past years, Asian stories are making headlines in different forms of media. But our Eastern tales are best depicted through series and films led by Asian creators. As Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho said, "Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films."

Watching shows and movies these days has been a way to escape reality for many, even for a short moment. With a smorgasbord of K-Dramas, Thai BL, Chinese flix, and Filipino content, viewers have more ways to spend their streaming therapy.

With a mission of showcasing the best Asian contents, streaming platform WeTV partners with Globe as its first telco partner in the Philippines to help bring beloved Chinese, Korean, Thai, and local content to Filipinos. Not only will it present popular Korean dramas, anime, and Boys Love stories, WeTV also offers a great deal of compelling original content viewers will surely fall in love with.

Leading the roster of titles VIP users can enjoy on WeTV are ABS CBN Primetime Bida series, including "Ang Probinsyano," as well as the inspirational drama "Huwag Kang Mangamba" and "Init Sa Magdamag." Other content offerings are the popular anime show "My Hero Academia 5," Korean drama "The Sweet Blood," and Thai show "Lovely Writer." The platform has such a diverse content library that caters to different spectrums of fans and interests, with new titles constantly added in, ensuring fresh and top-quality shows and movies for viewers to binge-watch to their hearts’ content. All of these and more can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere with a click of a finger.

Everyone can watch content on WeTV for free but Globe customers can opt to enjoy an uninterrupted ad-free experience and earlier access to new releases, simply by purchasing WeTV VIP vouchers for as low as P149 for 30 days via the GlobeOne app or GCash. Mobile customers can also text WETV 149 to get 30 days of WeTV VIP premium subscription.

Aside from that, the network's Prepaid customers can enjoy WeTV’s wide breadth of content by registering to Go+ promos, which gives them up to 15GBs of extra data for their GoWATCH apps. For their part, postpaid customers who apply or recontract to the new GPlan can also enjoy a free three-month WeTV VIP subscription.

The WeTV app is available to download on the App Store and Google Play.
