Over 2,000 residents inoculated at Pasay giga vaccination site

The Pasay City government’s giga vaccination site at the Galleon, SM Mall of Asia received on Wednesday a total of 2,210 Sputnik vaccine doses and utilized 2,205 of them.

According to Jun Burgos, head of the Public Information Office (PIO), out of the 2,228 residents who registered for vaccination, 23 were not given vaccines because they were breastfeeding mothers with hypertension, showing signs and symptoms of COVID-19, and wanted a different brand of vaccine.

He said 1,982 individuals under A4 category, 171 under the A3 category (adult with comorbidities), and 52 senior citizens were vaccinated.

The PIO chief added that out of the 160 Sinovac vaccines allotted at the giga vaccination site, only 71 were given to the A4 category.

Burgos said the city government is targeting to inoculate 2,000 individuals per day at the giga vaccination site which is equivalent to 14,000 jabs a week.
