LeBron James teases fans with LeBron 19 featured in new 'Space Jam' film

NBA superstar LeBron James has teased fans anew with the debut release of his latest signature shoes LeBron 19 which will be featured in "Space Jam: A New Legacy."

Taking it to Instagram, James shared stills from the film where he was seen wearing LeBron 19 -- obviously inspired by the colors of Looney Tunes with its orange overall look with a touch of blue and red.

Per Nike News, LeBron 19 consists of a "double-chambered Air Max unit in the heel and a newly shaped Zoom Air forefoot unit for a reliable underfoot ride."

Nike Basketball footwear designer Jason Petrie said LeBron 19 was "inspired by the futuristic magic behind the movie."

“In designing the LeBron 19, we were definitely guided by what was happening in the film,” said Petrie in an article posted by Nike News. “We wanted to give LeBron a brand-new feeling that was synonymous with an otherworldly, space-age kind of look.”

Aside from LeBron 19, a couple of LeBron 18 low and Air Force 1 were redesigned in line with the Space Jam characters namely Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian, Tweety Bird, Sylvester, Road Runner, Wile e. Coyote, among others.

Space Jam: A New Legacy Collection (Nike News)

"Space Jam: A New Legacy" is a franchise film to the original Space Jam starred by Michael Jordan in 1996.

Commonly known as "Space Jam 2," it is a stand-alone movie that revolves around James assembling his own elite team to rescue his son Dom (Cedric Joe) from the evil Goon Squad in a digital space called the "Server-verse."

Produced by Ryan Coogler, director of “Black Panther,” and directed by Malcolm D. Lee, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” is set to be released on July 16.
