Caloocan gov't gets new supply of COVID-19 vaccines

The inoculation of Caloocan City residents belonging to the A-4 category or the economic frontliners will continue after the local government received on Wednesday a new supply of vaccines from the national government.

The city's public information office said 19,720 doses of COVID-19 vaccine arrived at its storage so "the vaccination will continue."

The assurance came after Mayor Oca Malapitan expressed alarm that the local government might have to temporarily stop its vaccination of the economic frontliners given the fast pace of its program.

Malapitan said the local government managed to administer around 8,000 to 10,000 doses per day as it partnered with various malls that are now serving as vaccination sites.

Data from the local government showed that as of June 8, 187,169 residents have already received their first dose of the vaccine while 45,533 are now fully-vaccinated.
