PCG suspends sea trips in affected regions due to tropical storm 'Dante'
Authorities have temporarily suspended sea travels in areas experiencing inclement weather due to tropical storm “Dante” (international name “Choi-wan”) starting on Tuesday, June 1.

The sea trips of all types of vessels plying the routes to and from Surigao del Norte, Camotes Islands, Dinagat Islands, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar were ordered suspended, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Sea travels will resume until further notice and upon the improvement of weather and sea condition, the PCG added.
“Vessels who intend to take shelter shall be permitted as long as it is manifested through a written request and no passenger or cargo will be allowed on board,” it stated.
Tropical storm “Dante” will likely make landfall over Eastern Samar or Leyte on Tuesday afternoon or evening, June 1, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In the 8 a.m. bulletin issued on Tuesday, tropical cyclone wind signal No. 2 was raised over the eastern portion of Masbate including Ticao Island, Sorsogon, eastern portion of Albay, Eastern Samar, Samar, Northern Samar, Biliran, northern and central portions of Leyte, eastern portion of Southern Leyte, northern portion of Dinagat Islands, and Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands.
