Beauty queen-turned-Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson Celine Pialago is in hot water after allegedly mentioning Miss Universe-Canada Nova Stevens in a recent post promoting the use of glutathione.

Netizens deemed her action brainless, disgusting.

Asked one, "Racist ka ghorl?"

"Dinadamay mo pa si Miss Canada sa kaartehan mo," said another.

But did she really mention Nova in her post?

A quick peek at the Facebook post in question revealed nothing of note.

In it, she simply thanked her sponsor, going on to promote the supposed health benefits of glutathione.

"Hindi lang naman pampaputi ang gluta kundi nililinis din nito ang inyong kidney at liver," she wrote.

Apparently, the post has been altered.

An enterprising netizen, however, was quick enough to grab the original.

In it she wrote, “Nakakalungkot ‘di ba, dahil kung si Miss Canada e hindi nakaligtas sa mga mapanlait na mata, mukhang kailangan ko ng araw-arawin magpa-gluta..."

She probably did it in haste.

Unfortunately for her, social media always remembers.

Said one, “Did you just throw another shade to people of colors? No wonder you didn’t even (make) it to the semi during your pageant stint. Hindi pinagiisipan sinasabi."

Obviously, the netizen was referring to her hogging headlines as a candidate to the Miss Earth Philippines pageant in 2014, where she infamously quipped about a fellow candidate having a fainting spell as having "passed away" instead of "passed out."

Added another, "You have no right to use Nova for your gluta drip endorsement. It is insulting, insensitive. Think before you click."

Note that Nova was recently shamed on social media by some Pinoys for her skin color.

Some of the comments include “nognog,” and “tostadong tostado.”
