Do you know what Robredo wants for her me-time? Read on

For someone who has spent the last five years facilitating public service programs, you would think Vice President Leni Robredo has a luxurious vacation in mind when asked about her “alone time.”

Instead, Robredo simply wants to organize and label everything in their home in Quezon City.

If she has a week to herself, the country’s second-highest official will catalog everything on her computer.

“Ako, mag-aayos lang ako sa bahay saka mag-organize. Mahilig talaga ako mag-organize. Parang hindi ako mapakali na merong out of place (Me, I will just fix the house and organize. I love to organize. I can’t sit still when something is out of place),” she said in a podcast of TEA-ta Talk with Twitter Titas.

The vice president even has a digital catalog of her things, so it’s easy for her to find them.

“For me, everything is catalogued in my computer. When I need to look for something, I will just check my computer where I put it,” Robredo shared in Filipino.

Her eldest daughter, Aika, also joined the podcast.

If she has a dream vacation for her mother, it would be for her to go on a solo trip “and just going to a place where it is quiet and no one will bother her.”

She revealed that Robredo has a lot of plans “aside from organizing,” but Aika particularly wanted for her mother to have time to quietly read “with nature” or drive alone.

“I think that’s something she has not been able to do for years. So, parang excited din ako (I’m also excited) for her, you know, (to) have a chance to set aside a significant long time and let her do what she wants to do,” Aika said.

The vice president’s life has been a whirlwind the past five years—from fighting an electoral protest to responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While she has remained mum about her political plans, particularly whether if she will run as president next year, her daughter wishes for Robredo to be able to do what she wants.

For now, Aika said her mother is happy with organizing and labeling.

“Basta iyong bahay is in order I think malaking tulong na iyon sa kanya (As long as the house is in order, I think that’s a big help for her),” she added.
