Mayor Abalos receives 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos received on Wednesday her second dose of China's Sinovac-Biotech vaccine making her fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the use of Sinovac-Biotech made vaccines for senior citizens on April 7, provided there is stringent evaluation of the person's health status and exposure risk.

Abalos urged her constituents to register for the city's vaccination program MandaVax for them to be vaccinated against the disease.

As of May 4, the Mandaluyong City Public Information Office (PIO) said that there are now 111,665 registrants for the vaccination program.
