Finn Wittrock to headline new Green Lantern series

Actor Finn Wittrock will join the Green Lantern universe as Guy Gardner.

The “American Horror Story” star made the announcement via social media recently.

He wrote, “Beyond excited to join the Green Lantern universe as Guy Gardner.”

The series is based on the original DC Comics saga.

Wittrock was nominated for an Emmy in 2015 for his roles as Dany Mott in “American Horror Story.”

He also appeared in “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace,” and the Netflix series “Ratched.” 

And how did Ryan Reynolds react to his casting?

He said, "It's like I planned it."

Note Reynolds has been making fun of the Green Lantern character since he portrayed Hal Jordan in a film in 2011.
