The Farola serves as a navigational aid for Surigao fishermen and mariners, especially at night from safely entering and leaving the harbors.

PCG Station Surigao del Norte Commander Elaine Pangilinan warned that unauthorized persons are strictly prohibited from entering the premises of the light station.

“This is to ensure the safety of the public from untoward accidents and protect the structure from damages,” Pangilinan said.

“Violators will face the consequences of their actions. Hence, the cooperation of all stakeholders is highly requested,” she added.
