LOOK: Natalie Portman buys Philippine-made dress for her daughter

Weekends are made for shopping, and mom Natalie Portman dropped by Frankie General Store in Australia (yes! They have an international branch there) over the weekend to buy a Ta LouLou dress for her four-year-old daughter Amalia. Put up by Jammy San Juan-Magsino, Frankie General Store is located in 70 Oxford St., Paddington, Sydney, Australia, but they also have branches here in SM Aura and Power Plant Mall.

One of Ta LouLou's co-founders, Cit Sioson, posted the good news on her Instagram account, "Still in shock. Since the pandemic, it hasn’t been easy for our small business, and for so many others, but surreal moments like this remind us to keep going and most especially, to be grateful for both the highs and the lows we continue to learn from. We are immensely grateful for our small team of makers and those who continue to support us, all of whom enable us to share our story. We created Ta LouLou with the mission to encourage creativity, advocate a life of purpose, and celebrate even the simplest moments especially in these trying times. We hope to continue doing so with great love and care to make a difference in the lives of others — big or small—in our own Ta LouLou way.? Thank you @jammyalexandria for supporting us from the get-go and for being so patient and understanding in helping us find ways to showcase our products despite the challenges."

When asked about the Lulu dress, Sioson shared with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle that it's one of the first pieces that was launched. "It continues to be one of our bestsellers. It was first produced in a light green hue and because of the orders we received, we decided to offer it in other colors and have kept it as part of our children's wear since we started in October 2018." Ta LouLou also posted more details and other styles that are available in their online shops in their website and in Frankie's. But you can also visit Lanai in Manila to check out their clothes.
