Pasay businesses told to submit checklist requirements for safety seal certification
The local government unit (LGU) of Pasay City has ordered businesses in the city to submit their duly accomplished checklist requirements for their safety seal certification.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said business establishments in the city must submit checklist requirements at the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) before they could secure a safety seal certification.
She said that, as the government is slowly opening the economy, the safety seal certification will guarantee the public that all establishments in the city are compliant with the government’s health protocols and other preventive measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.
After submitting the checklist requirements to get safety seal certification, the mayor said members from the BPLO will visit the establishments to determine that the submitted documents in acquiring safety seal certification were authentic.
According to her, all LGUs under Joint Memorandum Circular No. 21-01 are mandated to create a Safety Seal Certification Committee that shall serve as the Issuing Authority for the registered business establishments that wishes to be inspected and verified with Safety Seal to increase consumers confidence that the business establishment is compliant with the health protocols.
The safety seal will also provide opportunities to the businesses to gradually increase their operating capacity provided that they will strictly comply with the health guidelines, Rubiano said.
The added that it will also help the city government to slowly open the economy.
