1.9 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered as of May 1, says DOH
A total of 1.9 million doses of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines have already been administered either as a first or a second dose as of May 1, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday, May 3.

Out of these, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said 1,650,318 eligible population were vaccinated already with the first doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
She said 284,553 also received their complete doses.
In a virtual forum, Vergeire revealed there were 1,094,493 frontline healthcare workers in the country or 70.9 percent of the more than 1.5 million masterlisted priority group A1 population had been vaccinated as of May 1.
"We continue to urge those priority groups from A1 to A3 to get in touch with your local government so you can be vaccinated," she said.
The government is currently vaccinating those in priority groups A1 to A3 namely healthcare workers, senior citizens, and those with comorbidities.
The DOH and the National Task Force Against COVID-19 urged the public to register with their LGUs to get vaccinated, when its their turn, in order to get protected against the severe form of COVID-19.
