Filipino boxing sensation Nonito Donaire and WBC bantamweight Nordine Oubaali are set to lock horns Sunday, May 30 (Manila time) at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Both bantamweight stars weighed in at 117.6 lbs ahead of their WBC bantamweight title clash.

"It would be great to win the title at 38 and become the oldest champion at 118, but let’s keep it going. Let’s make it 40. There ain’t no stopping me," Donaire told reporters during the press conference a day before fight night.

"I'm very hard-headed so I don't take anything that people always say to tell me to do. Anybody can say their time . I also have my time and I'll always be the one to concede or to make a decision and I believe it's still my time."

The 38-year-old Donaire, who holds a 40-6 record on top of 26 knockouts, stressed that living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle amid the COVID-19 pandemic has paved the way for his top-notch condition.

The four-division world boxing champion is more than proud to say -- repeatedly emphasizing -- that he is "feeling good."

Oubaali, 34, for his part, has vowed to put up an impressive showing for his third bantamweight title defense since capturing the vacant belt over American Rau'shee Warren in January 2019.

"I want to show everybody that the best two bantamweights in boxing today are fighting on Saturday," said the undefeated Oubaali, who won 17 of his matches with 12 KOs.

Both Donaire and Oubaali last saw action in November 2019 at the Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

The "Filipino Flash" suffered a unanimous decision loss against unified IBF and super WBA champion Naoya Inoue of Japan while the Frenchman of Moroccan descent scored a UD win over Naoya's younger brother Takuma.
