Sen. Bong pens sweet vow to Mayor Lani on their 35th wedding anniversary

Senator Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr. and Mayor Lani Mercado

Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. and Mayor Lani Mercado of Bacoor, Cavite celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary today, May 28.

Bong and Lani solemnized their union which took place in Glendale, California on May 28, 1986.

On Facebook, Bong wrote a sweet vow to Lani. The senator's full post:

"Mama, today marks our 35 years together!

"I am grateful to God for each year, each month, each day, and each moment of those years that He has given us to be with each other.

WATCH THE WEDDING OF LANI AND BONG:

"You have always been by my side, and in the most difficult times, you were there to light the darkness.

"Mula sa ating pamilya hanggang sa aking karera ay lagi kang nandyan para sumuporta at magbigay sa akin ng lakas. At hindi ko siguro malalagpasan ang mga pagsubok na pinagdaanan natin kung wala ka sa aking tabi.

"You were, you are, and you will always be God’s physical reminder of His grace and love to me. Kaya hanggang sa aking hininga ay hindi ako magsasawang sabihin na mahal na mahal kita Mama!

"Kung sampung beses man akong bawian ng buhay at mabubuhay muli, ikaw pa rin ang pipiliin kong makasama sa habambuhay. I love you.

"Happy anniversary to us!"

On Facebook, Lani wrote: "Happy 35th Wedding Anniversary Papa! This was our 25th Wedding Anniversary video.... How fast time flies .... Our love story continues Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.... Till eternity and beyond."
