I HEARD A RUMOR: Former Binibinis, top models to vie for Miss Universe Philippines 2021?

The search for the country's next representative to the Miss Universe beauty pageant has started as experts forecast a star-studded edition of the prestigious national contest this year.

In a post by MISSUUPDATES on Instagram May 28, former Binibing Pilipinas titleholders and international Filipino fashion models are reportedly trying their luck in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2021 competition.

Some names that floated for this year's MUP contest include Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2019 Leren Mae Bautista, who also won second runner-up at the Miss Globe contest in Albania; Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019 Emma Tiglao, Bb. Pilipinas International 2018; and Ma. Ahtisa Manalo, who finished second at the Miss International 2018 pageant in Tokyo, Japan.

Making a comeback at the MUP stage are Ma. Isabela Galleria, who blacked out of the MUP 2020 after she was tested positive for COVID-19; and Alaiza Manalo.

Also rumored to join the MUP race are Asia's Next Top Model winner Maureen Wroblewitz, Binibining Cebu Steffi Aberasturi, and pageant veteran Diana Mackey.

If they compete, this will be a star-studded edition of the Miss Universe Philippines beauty pageant, observers said.

Rumor has it that the Miss Universe 2021 competition will be held either December 2020 or January 2021.
