Fire scorches man's face in Tondo

A 60-year-old man's face was scorched by a fire that razed a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Thursday (May 27).

Authorities identified the victim as Roberto Alagos.

The fire started at the kitchen area of a five storey structure located at Del Fierro St., Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila, City at 6:04 p.m.

The fire was declared under control at around 6:14 p.m. and was extinguished at 6:18 p.m.

Fire investigators placed the estimated damage to properties at P30,000.

Investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
