515 Muntinlupa residents get free grocery packs after COVID-19 vaccination

Incentives in the form of grocery packs were given to Muntinlupa residents after they were vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The Muntinlupa City Masonic Lodge 414 partnered with the city-run Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) to give gifts to residents who will get inoculated.

Ospital ng Muntinlupa director Dr. Edwin Dimatatac said 515 vaccinees at OsMun who were inoculated with Sputnik V received grocery packs from the Freemasons and a laminated vaccination card.

Dimatatac said the grocery packs were not a form of payment but incentives and gifts given to residents who participated in the Muntinlupa vaccination program.

The Muntinlupa City Masonic Lodge 414 held a motorcade to encourage residents to get vaccinated before the distribution of the grocery packs.

The Muntinlupa City government has been campaigning to urge residents to be inoculated as protection against COVID-19.

As of May 24, 41,443 residents have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine including 15,394 who got their second dose. Of those who got their first dose, 22,059 received Sinovac Life Sciences' CoronaVac including 48 overseas Filipino workers who were inoculated last May 1, 12,994 got AstraZeneca, 2,979 with Sputnik V and 3,507 with Pfizer-BioNTech.

Earlier, Muntinlupa’s Barangay Sucat launched a raffle promo for vaccinated residents to win 25 kilos of rice as part of efforts to boost the vaccination program.

Under the promo, 20 lucky residents who will be vaccinated at the Sucat covered court will get the chance to win 25 kilos of rice each in the weekly raffle. Brgy. Sucat Chairman Raffy Sevilla said the raffle promo is the barangay’s way of thanking the residents for their cooperation in the government’s vaccination program.

For Muntinlupa residents who are not yet registered with the city’s COVID-19 Vaccination Registration System, you may visit www.vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac to sign up.

The city government said walk-ins in the city’s major vaccination sites including Ayala Malls South Park, Festival Mall upper ground floor covered parking area, SM Center Muntinlupa and Sucat covered court will not be accommodated. Only those who are registered online will be given a schedule in the major vaccination sites and will be notified via text message.

As of May 27, Muntinlupa has 12,719 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 11,853 recoveries, and 342 deaths, leaving 524 active cases.
