Sanya Lopez marks social media milestone

Kapuso star Sanya Lopez has marked another milestone as she reached 10 million followers on Tiktok this week.

Sanya admitted that it still came as a surprise when she learned of the tremendous increase of her subscribers to her Tiktok account, @sanya_lopez.

"Nagulat po ako nung sabihin nila na marami na akong followers sa TikTok. Hindi ko po expected talaga na mangyayari ito. It started lang talaga na ine-enjoy ko lang yung paggawa ng TikTok, so I’m happy to see na nag-e-enjoy sila,” Sanya said. (I was surprised when I was told I have may followers on TikTok. I didn't expect it. I just enjoyed doing TikTok, and I am happy to know thy also enjoy my TikTok videos).

In addition, she wishes to use the digital space to be able to provide good vibes and inspiration to social media users, “Sabi nga nila kapag enjoy ka sa ginagawa mo, mas maganda ang kalalabasan ng TikTok na ginawa mo. Gusto ko lang mag-enjoy at mabigyan ng saya ang mga sumusuporta sa akin at makita nila ang other side of Sanya.” (I just really want to give them joy and happiness, especially my fans and supporters. I hope they enjoy seeing the other side of me).

Lopez seems to go nowhere but up in her pursuit of a bright showbiz career. With two current lead roles on GMA-7 and a stellar social media presence, she is definitely now a household name in the country.

Despite all these, the 24-year-old actress keeps her feet on the ground. When asked where she attributes her success, Sanya thanks the Almighty for the continued grace and the talent given to her as well as the trust from her management.

“Siyempre po si God. Sa kanya kasi ako humihingi ng guidance palagi at lahat ng ito alam ko siya ang may gawa. Pati na rin sa GMA and sa GMA Artist Center sa tiwala na binibigay nila sa akin.” (Of course it's God! I always seek His guidance. I am also thankful to GMA and GMA Artist Center for their trust).

On screen, Sanya gives life to the colorful and very relatable character of Yaya Melody in the top-rating primetime series ‘First Yaya.’

Sanya also stars in the weekend fantasy show ‘Agimat ng Agila’ as the headstrong and compassionate Maya Lagman. Both portrayals are gaining positive feedback from Kapuso viewers and netizens.

Catch Sanya in "First Yaya" weeknights, at 8 p.m., on GMA Telebabad and in "Agimat ng Agila" every Saturday, 7:15 p.m.
