A robber was killed while his two cohorts were arrested in an encounter with police in Malabon City on Tuesday, May 25.

Police identified the slain suspect as Jason Danco Casio, 33, of Barangay Catmon, Malabon City, and the two arrested suspects as Arnold Banjola Manalasatas, 31, also from Barangay Catmon, Malabon City; and Robin Salazar Acevera, 38, of Barangay Tugatog, Malabon City.
Police said they received a complaint about an ongoing robbery incident at around 2:50 p.m. along Dr Lascano Street, Barangay Tugatog, Malabon City.
The police immediately responded and chased the fleeing suspects.
The three male suspects, two of them carrying bladed weapons and one armed with firearm, fled the scene heading towards a creek at Dr. Lascano, Barangay Tugatog, Malabon City.
The police were able to arrest Manalasatas and Salazar.
Casio shot at the police officers several times. The police returned fire which resulted in the death of Casio.
Casio was immediately rushed to Ospital ng Malabon for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival at around 6:00 p.m.
Retrieved from the suspects were one caliber 38 revolver without serial number; one caliber 38 live ammunition; two calibers 38 of empty shell; and two bladed weapons.
