Singer Richard Reynoso recently joined his good friend, businessman-philanthropist Bon Salinas, in a tree planting effort at Brgy. Bajao, Tago, Surigao Del Sur.

Participating in the activity were several government agencies & private organizations including representatives from the Department of Environment and National Resources (DENR), the Philippine Army, PNP, Sanguniang Kabataan, LGBTQ & Flame Bikers Associaton.

Said Bon in an interview, "This is just the beginning. We are aiming to plant 10,000 trees. We are hoping that through this effort we could inspire others to help in preserving Mother Earth."
Added Richard, "I'm really proud of my friend Bon who always comes up with worthwhile causes. I'm here simply to do my part and lend a helping hand."

Early this year, Bon, with the help of high-school friends, distributed relief goods to four barangays in Tago severely affected by Tropical Storm Auring including Caras-an, Tabon-tabon, Dumaduma and Bongtud.
His effort benefited more than 800 families.
Beyond that, Salinas also helped rebuild several houses damaged by the typhoon in the area.
Note that prior, Bon made headlines organizing “Online Gig For A Cause,” a virtual concert featuring OPM stalwarts Dulce, Chad Borja, Renz Verano, Rannie Raymundo, and Richard, among others, the proceeds of which he donated to Manila Bulletin’s Bag Of Hope, extending assistance to families displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bon also donated extensively to Li’l Brave Heart, an organization devoted to babies and children with congenital heart disease.
