Rabiya Mateo to come home in July, says Jonas Gaffud

If plans do not miscarry, the homecoming of Miss Universe Rabiya Mateo will be held sometime in July.

This was revealed by Jonas Gaffud, creative director for Miss Universe Philippines, during an exclusive chat on Thursday, May 27.

Gaffud said that Rabiya has been invited to several activitiesÂ in the US. He did not divulge these activities.

"July pa siguro.Â May mga events pa siya rito," said Gaffud, when asked aboutÂ the homecoming of Rabiya. (I think July because she will still attend to other activities in the US).

Rabiya and Gaffud are still on an extended vacation in the US after the 69th Miss Universe Competition where the Filipino beauty queen finished in the top 21.

But Gaffud said that he will come home on June 17 to prepare for the 2021 Miss Universe Philippines pageant. he also celebrated hs birthday in the US.

Asked to comment on the Rabiya's failure to win the crown, Gaffud simply answered: "It's destiny."
