Senator Aquilino ''Koko'' Pimentel III on Thursday, May 27, reiterated that health authorities should immediately start vaccinating those who who are willing to be inoculated.

’’Some who are not on the priority list are excited to be vaccinated. Some who are prioritized don’t plan to get vaccinated,’’ Pimentel said in a text message for Senate reporters following reports some citizens refused to be vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines because not the brand they want is not available.

‘’Better to just open up the system and vaccinate all those who want to be vaccinated now,’’ said the former Senate President.

‘’We already have sufficient supply. Don’t let the vaccines expire!" he added.

Several senators have appealed on the interagency task force handling the pandemic to rollout vaccination for people who are willing to be inoculated and are next in the government's vaccine priority list.

Medical frontliners, senior citizens and persons with comorbidities are first to receive the coronavirus vaccines. Essential workers and economic frontliners and then the indigent population follow.
