Pasay City government welcomes probe on vaccination of Chinese nationals
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano on Thursday said the city government is open to any investigation on the reported inoculation of some Chinese nationals under the city’s COVID-19 vaccination program.

Rubiano made her statement after the Department of Health (DOH) declared that it will conduct a probe on the reports that several Chinese nationals have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Pasay City
She said the city government vaccinates any person as long as he or she is a bonafide resident of the city and falls under the prioritization category given by the DOH.
The mayor reiterates that the “Vacc to to Future” vaccination program of the city government is free to all the city residents.
DOH Secretary Francisco Duque said it is not clear to them the basis of the Pasay City government in giving vaccines to Chinese nationals.
However, Rubiano said the city government is not giving any VIP treatment or any form of undue preference to Chinese nationals.
The mayor clarified that some Chinese nationals who were vaccinated were legitimate Pasay residents belonging to A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (adult with comorbidities) categories.
