Centenarian in Pangasinan gets COVID-19 shot

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – A 100-year-old grandmother here showed no fear when she was inoculated with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine last May 25.

Josefa Milagros Vallo’s courage has inspired many residents, including senior citizens, to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vallo, who recently celebrated his 100th birth anniversary, was inoculated last May 25 at the Calasiao Sports Complex.

Her relatives said that she wanted to get vaccinated to ensure that she and her family are protected against the disease.

Her birth anniversary wish is to have a long life and good health. Vallo is optimistic that after receiving the vaccine, she will live longer.

She reminded everyone, especially fellow senior citizens, not to be afraid or worried about receiving the vaccine.

“If this is the step to end the pandemic and return to normal, get vaccinated,” she said.
