Rookie K-pop group ENHYPEN debuts on Billboard 200: 'Thank you'

Rookie K-pop boy band ENHYPEN made their debut on the Billboard 200 chart with their new album.

According to Billboard, ENHYPEN’s “Border: Carnival,” released on April 26, placed 18th on the Billboard 200 chart dated May 29.

ENHYPEN achieved this in just nearly six months after debuting last November. They are the only rookie group who made it to the chart among those which debuted from last year to present. They ranked second behind K-pop superstars BTS among Korean singers who charted on Billboard 200 this year.

“Hey ENGENE~!! I heard the news about Billboard top 200!! I can’t believe this!! We’re always gonna do our best to show the greatest stage to our fans all over the world! And I just wanna tell you guys that this wouldn’t have been possible if ENGENE’s wasn’t beside us! Thank you for everything!!!” Jay posted on Twitter.

Jake also posted, “ENGENE. Thank you so much. Words can’t describe how thankful I am. I’m speechless. Love you guys so so so much.”

In addition, “Border: Carnival” re-entered at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart while ENHYPEN debuted at No. 18 on the Artist 100 chart this week.

Upon its release on April 26, “Border: Carnival” sold 319,073 copies on the first day and ranked first on Hanteo Chart’s daily album chart. It topped the April monthly chart with 375,651 copies sold.

On the May 8 Billboard charts, "Border: Carnival" ranked ninth on the World Albums chart and 15th on Heatseekers Albums.

“Drunk-Dazed” ranked third on the World Digital Song Sales and 166th on Billboard Global Excl. US.
