Ready for duty: Over 200 trainees complete PCG course in Bataan
A total of 216 Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) trainees have completed their training in Bagac, Bataan last Friday, May 21.
Commodore Roben de Guzman, acting commander of the Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command (CGETDC), graced the recognition ceremony of the trainees under the Coast Guard Officer’s Course (CGOC) Class 26 – 2020 “Hiraya Masiklab” at the Regional Training Center in Bataan.


"Today, you have mastered yourselves and accepted the life of followership. Most importantly, you have started to embrace the Coast Guard service," De Guzman said in a statement on Tuesday, May 25.
"Remember this day as your stepping stone in facing greater challenges and accepting bigger responsibilities as public servants," he added.
The PCG trainees underwent military exercises, drills, and lectures on the Coast Guard’s customs and traditions, among other preparatory courses.
The Coast Guard said all personnel and trainees strictly observed health protocols during the ceremony.
