A total of 376,380 worth of suspected shabu were confiscated from two high-value targets during a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Pasay City Station Drug Enforcement Unit on Tuesday.
Pasay City Police chief, Col. Cesar Paday-os, identified the suspects as Judith Enriquez, 56, of Vista Bonita Village, Dasmarinas, Cavite, and Medrado Medina, 38, of Barangay Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan.
In a report submitted to Paday-os by SDEU chief M/Sgt. Jonathan Bayot, the suspects were arrested at a parking lot of a restaurant located along Service Road, Roxas Boulevard corner Cuneta Avenue, Pasay City at about 4:30 p.m.
Paday-os said members of the SDEU arrested the suspects during a buy-bust operation using a police asset who acted as a buyer.
He said the SDEU operatives were able to confiscate from the suspects 59 grams of shabu worth P376,380 and the buy-bust money.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg lauded the Pasay City police for the arrest of the suspects who were tagged as high-value targets engaged in the illegal drug activity.
Macaraeg said the apprehension of the suspects is also in line with the revitalized anti-illegal drugs campaign of the Philippine National Police.
He also said that the SPD is working hard to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in the southern part of Metro Manila.
