Not easy to enter vaccination facilities if you are not registered, qualified, scheduled -- Mayor Zamora

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora assured the public on Wednesday that people who are illegally taking advantage of the city's vaccination program will not be able to enter the vaccination facilities because of the local government's strict vaccination procedure.

Zamora made the call after receiving reports that there are people asking for payment from residents before they can be added to the list of vaccinees in the city and even claiming that they have close contacts within the San Juan local government.

"The online registration basically invites people to register. Right now, we have about 65,000 registrants already and they fall under different categories from A1 all the way to A5. We only select the priority list within the current prioritization which is A1, A2, and A3." Zamora said in an interview with ANC.

"I only have a small team which in fact I'm also a member of, that handles the text blast system because I don't want to give access to anyone else except my very small group composed of four people. That is how we monitor those who are being texted to make sure that only those who are qualified are the ones who are able to enter the facility." he added.

The mayor said that the FilOil Flying V Center, the city's primary vaccination site, also has a gatekeeper as an additional measure who checks one by one the confirmatory texts and all the requirements of the vaccinee.

Zamora added that the city is implementing the 'First-in, First-Out' procedure to ensure that every vaccinee will be vaccinated fairly and to avoid line jumping.

He appealed for the residents' understanding of the tedious processes they have to comply with during the vaccination process.
