Navotas City used up all AstraZeneca vaccine doses – Mayor Tiangco

The local government of Navotas has already administered the allocated first doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine to its residents who belong to the priority groups.

As of May 25, 14,285 city residents and workers have received their first jabs of AstraZeneca. Of these, 596 are frontliners, 3,237 senior citizens, and 10,452 persons with comorbidities.
The city received 1,586 vials of AstraZeneca vaccine from the national government which were given in March and May.

“We have used up all AstraZeneca vaccines allotted for first doses. The remaining stock is reserved for second doses and will be utilized in the coming weeks,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

"In Navotas, there is no reason to fear that vaccines will go to waste. We value each drop because we know how important these vaccines are to the health and safety of our citizens. This is also the reason we are aggressive in our efforts to vaccinate our people at the soonest," he added.

He said 154 frontliners have completed the two doses of the said vaccine.
The city government has opened seven vaccination sites.

Residents who are included in the A2 and A3 categories can be vaccinated through a city-given schedule, walk-in or self-set appointment.
