McDonald's x BTS collaboration starts with merch drop on May 27

The much-awaited BTS Meal arrives at McDonald’s in the Philippines on June 18 but ahead of this, merchandise will be available for purchase on the Weverse Shop app.

In the Philippines, the BTS Meal will consist of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium World Famous Fries, medium Coke and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces inspired by recipes from McDonald’s South Korea.

The merch, on the other hand, will be available on the Weverse Shop app starting at 7 a.m. on May 27. The collection will showcase items inspired by some of the menu items from the BTS Meal, with dynamite threads like hoodies, purple bathrobes, socks and sandals.

These designs, featuring the McDonald’s fry box logo with seven fries for each BTS member, or the combination of BTS purple with McDonald’s red and gold colors, represent the iconic partnership between the two famous brands.To purchase, one must download the Weverse Shop app and create an account.

“We know our customers and crew have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first celebrity signature order in the Philippines, and we’re thrilled that the collaboration is less than a month away,” said Oliver Rabatan, McDonald’s Philippines Marketing & Channels head. “We couldn’t be more excited to start seeing our guests enjoying the BTS Meal and sporting their favorite pieces from the exclusive merch line.”

In addition, McDonald’s has introduced a new commercial featuring BTS’ new single “Butter.”

Customers in the Philippines can order the BTS Meal in stores through dine-in, take-out, drive-thru and vaia McDelivery starting on June 18.

The BTS Meal will be available in 49 countries and regions starting on May 26 onwards. These include the US, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Romania, India and Malaysia.
