'TINver', anyone? BIR says new app allows you to verify your TIN on your phone

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has come out with an online Tax Identification Number (TIN) verification system--cleverly dubbed "TINver"--amid the persisting coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay said the TINver mobile app was developed so that taxpayers would no longer need to go to the revenue district to make an inquiry and possibly catch the deadly virus.
Taxpayers are advised to access https://tinyurl.com/ahxj 837k to learn how use the TINver app.
It is available for download via Google Play Store for Android users and soon in the Apple App store for iOS users.
To avail of the digital inquiry, the applicant must input his or her complete name, birthdate, address, civil status, and name of the spouse if any.
He must also take a selfie together with a government-issued ID.
The BIR chief stressed that the app is only for taxpayers with existing TINs but forgot the number, or those who want to verify their TINs. In short, no hookups, please.
