The Paranaque City government launched on Saturday the Mobile Vaccination Program as part of the ongoing efforts to protect the residents against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Eva Nono, chief of the Paranaque External and Homeowners Affair, said Mayor Edwin Olivarez created a team that will go down to villages and subdivisions to vaccinate residents belonging to the vulnerable sectors.
Nono said the kickoff of the MVP against COVID-19 held at Tahanan Village in Barangay BF last May 22 was a success. About 190 persons, mostly senior citizens, joined the vaccination drive.
She said the team will particularly go down to areas with high number of COVID-19 cases.
Mayor Olivarez said the MVP team is led by Dr. Jeff Pagsisihan, medical director of the Ospital ng Parañaque, and being supported by Nono and other personnel from various offices and departments of the city government.
“With a good system now in place, we are ready to roll out the Mobile Vaccination Program to more areas in the city in coordination with our barangay officials and homeowners associations,” Olivarez said.
The City Health Office recorded on May 23 a total of 670 active cases and 50 new cases.
