COVID vaccines are free -- Mayor Olivarez

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said on Sunday that the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines in the city are being administered for free to all eligible constituents.

Olivarez issued a statement after receiving reports that some unscrupulous individuals were selling COVID-19 vaccines as well as slots in the city’s vaccination program.

He told residents to report to the Paranaque City police or to the Office of the Mayor any individual or groups selling the vaccines.

Olivarez said the city government will apply the full force of the law on those engaged in these illegal activities.

The scam was first reported in the cities of Mandaluyong and San Juan.
