The historic all-female card ONE: Empower will be moved to another date due to COVID-19 concerns, ONE Championship announced on Friday, May 21.

"As always, the health and safety of our athletes, staff, and fans is our top priority. A new date for the event and other details will be announced at a later date," read the promotion's statement.

This means four quarterfinal matches for the inaugural women's atomweight grand prix were postponed, including the matchup between Filipina No. 1 contender Denice Zamboanga and South Korean foe Seo Hee Ham.

Fans would also have to wait for the women's strawweight world title bout between current champion Xiong Jing Nan of China and Brazilian jiu-jitsu star Michelle Nicolini.

Replacing ONE: Empower is ONE: Full Blast, a tape-delayed event headlined by a ONE Super Series muay thai bout between Saemapetch Fairtex and Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai.

Team Lakay's Edward Kelly is also back in action, since his last fight in November 2019, against Egyptian opponent and ONE Championship newcomer Ahmed Faress.

Kelly, one of ONE Championship's pioneer fighters, holds a 12-8 record while Faress, a product of ONE Warrior Series, owns a 16-3 slate.
