Kuku's T1 tramples on TNC Predator in tiebreaker, punches ticket to AniMajor Playoffs

Veteran captain Carlo "Kuku" Palad and T1 crushed TNC Predator, 2-0, to prevail in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division top spot tiebreaker on Saturday night, May 22.

12K MMR Thai carry Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon rose to the occasion with his monstrous Wraith King in two games as T1 snagged the No. 1 spot that gives a ticket straight to the playoffs of the WePlay AniMajor slated June 2 to 13 in Kiev, Ukraine.

The 19-year-old 23savage hit a 12-1-3 kill-death-assist record and combined forces with Filipino mid laner Karl "Karl" Jayme's Leshrac (7-0-12) to power T1's 24-15 victory in Game 1.

23savage then finished with a perfect record of 11 kills and 12 assists even as battle-tested offlaner Kuku on his Magnus (3-1-17) made several pivotal Reverse Polarity plays to close out Game 2 with a lopsided 30-9 scoreline in just 30 minutes.

It will be T1's second straight appearance in a Major this year after the South Korea-based organization entered the Wild Card stage of the ONE Esports Singapore Major two months ago.

T1 also boosted its chances of securing a direct invite to The International 10 after bagging 500 DPC points for a total of 670 good for No. 11 in the DPC rankings.

"We are the best SEA team for now," said Kuku in the post-game interview with the PGL analysts.

TNC settled for a group stage spot in the AniMajor--its first Major tournament this year after failing to qualify for the ONE Esports SG Major.

Completing the SEA representatives in Ukraine is Execration, which clinched the wild card slot after sweeping Fnatic in the tiebreaker for third earlier.

Captain-support Marvin "Boomy" Rushton and TNC also seized 300 DPC points to improve its total to 372.25 at No. 19 in the rankings

Only the top 12 teams will receive a direct invite to TI10 while the rest will need to go through the bloody regional qualifiers.
